Snowman ornaments

These snowman ornaments were made for my children out of an old quilt. I traced the snowman from an ornament I received in a swap and used the backing side of the quilt. I added their initials and than grunged the ornaments up.

I bought theses skeleton keys a couple years ago to make each daughter an ornament, a heart still needs to be added with a quote or a message and they'll be done.

I still have the stockings to finish and advent calender to start. This is the first year I've finished up some of my Christmas projects in January. Thanks Sewing Mamas for the push.

  1. Oh, those are just adorable, Allison! I LOVE LOVE LOVE your style on the snowmen and the tree skirt, and the keys are a GREAT idea! Where did you get the keys from? So neat!

  2. The keys I bought off Etsy a couple years ago. They are fake skeltons but they work for what I wanted. I don't remember the name of the shop but she was from Texas.

  3. Oh I love these. And I really like the keys too. SO pretty.

  4. I love the snowmen and the key idea !!!! I have a key that is from a hotel in Pittsburgh where my grandmother worked in her teens.... I'd be afraid of losing it in the mish mash of Christmas decor, but that's a cool idea! I sense a flea market search coming on !

  5. Those are so darn cute!!!
