Table runners for a non-quilter!

The procrastinating is over, the fabric is here, and I see an hour or so of free time tomorrow.

This is the fabric, 2 cottons with a bit of gold for the runner, and the not-quite-matching-but-was-boxing-day-sale-priced-flannel for napkins.

By posting this, I hope someone might leave a comment with a really simple idea, and that I'll be accountable to actually finish this this weekend!

What are you crossing off your list this weekend?

  1. I'm hoping to cross off BOTH of my tree skirts this weekend. One is finished, and I've just got the binding and ties for the other one to do. It's time consuming work, but not too bad if I can just put my mind to it and not try to play on the internet while I'm busy sewing!

    Will post pics soon!

  2. Can't wait to see the finished products! I don't have any clever ideas.... I'm done with Christmas for this month! Happy sewing this weekend. My kids need pjs.....

  3. Simple is good! I made a strip table runner and also squares that were pretty easy. But my easiest was a rag table runner because you quilt as you go.
I have my tree skirt almost cut out and my ornaments almost done. I'm looking forward to seeing what you'll be making.
